Even the Distributists like Chesterton and Belloc considered themselves of the Leftist tradition as well, at least in their early careers. It was only after the major strikes of the late 20's did they start to turn away from the Left(which they viewed sold out the workers) and move more towards the Right. But yet Distributism actually was more of an eclectric mix of Right-wing and Left-wing ideas.
