Our Minister Borg should check the definition of "firm stand" in the dictionary. Even his own words "Those who are not granted asylum status are usually sent back" are indicative.

The truth is that last summer, the Appeal Board - an essential board that accepts or rejects the immigrant's request for asylum - was left unconstituted for the whole summer leaving hundreds of immigrants - who had their asylum request denied - in our country.

The party in government in Malta is called "Nationalist Party", a misnomer if there was one! This party is heavily influenced by the local Catholic church and the pro-immigration decisions are increasing, last the one to put Hon. Dolores Cristina (certainly a socialist christian) in charge of the immigrants welfare and her subsequent decision to transform these camps into a sort of hotel complete with a Mosque!!
