Believing the official version is ridiculous. But how can you critiise the revisionist version without becoming familiar with it first? You see you are being dismissive not critical.

The oil industry was against the war. As for "regime change" - apart from this being banned under international law - why would they want to do that? You still have not addressed the question of what interest Britain has in all this.

Its about power alright, but that's a little vague. Britian is not in the business of regaining former colonies. The question is this: why does Britain always support America, even when it is unpopular with the British people, as this atrocious war surely is?
