I'm not surprised that he has an axe to grind. You would be surprised if you knew the billions in this world who have. The Anglosphere has generated much misery through greed, and this has brought in turn much hatred against it.
For my part, I just want to be sure that we stay well away of that "western" construct of Britain and the U.S. Not wanting any deal with such a murderours coalition does not mean having a chip on the shoulder. You are using gratuitous labels which are meaningless.
I'll remind you that Britain Colonialism was pretty much different from other countries' colonialism and Anglo-American neo-colonialism is actually devastating (it is discussed above by someone else), and that nowadays most missions come from almost anywhere but the Anglosphere. Others don't want a part on your deeds, and you shouldn't use the work of others to justify yourselves.
