The referendum, contaminated by internal problems, is being observed closely by all the European partners since one of the founding countries could be the first in rejecting the ratification.

The information about the tie results between supporters and opposers to the text, was communicated yesterday by L'Elysée to the Spanish PM, J. L. Zapatero.
More about it in the paper..

The data managed by the Presidency of the French Republic matches the impressions of former Socialist PM Pierre Mauroy, one of the historical leaders of P.S., according to what he told Zapatero in Lille.

In the last poll known before the reflexion date, published in the web site of TNS-Sofres, the 'non' votes reduced much its advantage and was a 51%.

This same polling institute gave last Thursday 55% vote for the 'non' vote. But other polls published before the legal time of midnight on Friday gave contradictory results. The poll by Ifop registered an 2 point increase for the 'non' vote (56%), and that by CSA a fall of 3 points (52%).
