ZEP are more or less ghettos, it means "Zone d'Education Prioritaire" (something like "Priority area of education") : there is rarely more than 30-40% of Ethnic French there. Almost all the new and young teachers are sent in those areas, because older teachers don't want to work there (although there are many financial advantages).

LOL, indeed it seems the French and Argentinian school systems are very different. In France teachers are certainly the ones who have the most spare time : on a year, 3 months for strikes, 3 months for holidays, 3 months of "disease" and 3 months of work (with 20-25 hours per week) !
