As an example of food that in Malta is quite traditional I refer to
braġoli/bragioli and
stuffat, plus
stuffat tal-qarnit. I am not a big expert in cuisine therefore I cannot give much details. Both dishes are in general meat based.
Braġoli/bragioli:

Looks can be deceiving, hehe.
Stuffat tal-qarnit:
Stuffat means
stufato, ergo, stew basically.
Stuffat tal-qarnit is octupus stew, but stew with other meat such as beef and pork is also quite common in Malta (or at least at my house, hehe).
