The Dark Ages and the Middle Ages
The period from the end of the Roman Empire to about
AD 800 is often called the Dark Ages. There was not much progress made in Europe during this period. The foundations were laid, however, for important advances that were to follow in the later Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
The stirrup was probably invented during the Dark Ages. Water wheels also made their first appearance…

Give some substance to your post if you want to be taken seriously, otherwise it is just a very empty post which has no solid backing in relation to your ideas.

Tell that to the author of the article you posted.
I'm very well aware that both you and him like Christianity very much,
but the article is a travesty.

Regarding your first assertion, I do remember the Media attempting to discredit the Roman Catholic Church because somehow Columbus proved that the Earth was round. This was mostly Italian TV plus documentaries probably produced in the Western World.
|
I believe you. I haven't seen any media which mentions this 'conflict' between the church and Columbus, but I'm very well aware that
there certainly are some misinformed statements being made.
But, the author of this article doesn't say that
some make this
stupid mistake, he appears to blame everyone, some nonexistent militant-atheist conspiracy against the church. This simply isn't true.
If there's any conflict, it's of reason vs. dogma, not imaginary conspired atheists vs. catholics.

Regarding Scientific and Technological Devolopment in relation to Christianity you fail to tackle the Theological points provided by the author by none other than St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Augustine, and Tertullian for example. I can only presume that you either do not have the time or will to do so, or most probably you are incapable to do so and this time you cannot really enjoy attacking Religion, and Christianity in particular.

No... as I said in the first post, I don't have the time to reply to that part at the moment. Be sure that I will.
