Zyklop is famous for his sense of humour.
Of course he “forgot” to mention that this is the map published in the 1964 – in rather popular not scientific “Taschenbuch” series. 40 years in archeology is really a gap thus many theories have been verified.
It should be added that pre-history especially in Nazi Germany became a political science. The defeat of army put an end to this blooming imagination and since then are rare publications like this “pocket” pre-history.
Today, most scholars have accepted the historical and changing nature of ethnic groups and do not try to continue ethnic groups known from written sources into the prehistoric period.
Some verified migrations of Germanics [not German]- like Scandinavian Goths through the Lusitian and Pomeranian cultures territories are observed archaeologically but without unscientific nationalism and megalomania.
