The world shield in this case is a euphemism. This shield can easily be used to attack Russia.
The shield is both offensive and defensive, no matter what the EU claims. Russia has every right to respond the way it has to this threat.
Furthermore. Anyone who suppiorts this shield ias a traitor to his own nation. Any Pole and Czech who wants this shield wants his country to become a target.
How am I acting anti-European by refusing to support an american policy tool over the sovereign rights of a European nation -- i.e. the Russians.
The EU is an American creation and it does not strive for a strong Europe. The EU is basically a giant Switzerland and literally has no influence outside it's borders.
