Tage Erlander had finnish roots from the Savolax region. The savolax finns immigrated to Värmland, Dalarna, Hälsingland and Lappland in the 16th and 17th century but kept to themselves in many years, some even until 19th or even 20th century. I have this kind of roots myself from Lappland. Many swedes has. I have heard around 10 percent but I dont know if this is true. According to swedish wikipedia between 17 and 18 percent were of savolaxish descent in year 1821-22. Many local names are finnish also.
Sorry, I mean 17-18 percent of Värmlands population was of savolaxish descent!
