If Iceland's banks hadn't got involved in the global financial game, they wouldn't presently be exposed to the predatory tactics of hedge fund operators. This is what happens when you swim with sharks. Of course hedge funds are in to market manipulation: that's what the game is all about, that's where the differentially higher returns come from.

A point of view that closely accords with mine.
