In the eighties (1985) a Mexican "scholar" Roberto Salinas Price made a claim that Troy was situated in the village Gabela, on the frontier between Croatia and Bosnia, near from the delta of the river Neretva. He was granted extensive media coverage in the whole of former Yugoslavia, whereby he was empowered to molest the public of at least one country with his "theories".
