No one is trying to justify complete isolationism. The fact that you assume Nationaism equates isolationism is just..

Of course, when the peoples of the UK go their own ways, there will obviously remain close ties. But it isn't about isolationism anyway, it's about a peoples right to their own National Determination.
You're right. Nationalism does not necessarily equate with extreme notions of separation, which was exactly my point. I was referring to the previous debate that I quoted, and the different ways of co-existing as neighbors. One extreme is geopolitical union, another is geopolitical separatism/isolationism. I see neither as preferable, at least not in a general sense, especially not in the case of neighbors. I would not reject any union however, considering that many cultures and nations of today are unions of different peoples and nations, forming one nation. But those are specifics and not really relevant here.

Britain is a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic (racial) state, with a shameful imperialistic past, I don't see it how a black woman couldn't be British as it's not an ehtnic or national identity.

Cultural parrarels, in a way yes, they are neighbours anyway, but still, what does that proove? You could draw cultural parralels between nations in Yugoslavia as well, but that doesn't change the fact that Yugoslavia was an artificial and multi-ethnic state.
Yes, but the question in this is really if Britain is just a geopolitical area, where anyone settling from anywhere in the world has equal rights as the natives, or if Britain as a geopolitical concept/term/area capacitates something that can be called indigenous nation and culture and on the contrast, alien immigrants. I was responding to this question in my post, where Marulus had originally asked this question.

Even though the natives are not 1 nation, they are the people of their nations which are situated native to this specific geopolitical territory, and therefore they are the ones who should be represented rather than some Indian immigrant in any case. I think it would be more justified to call such immigrants British if they werent so many, and if they assimilated into the nations.
The proportions of today, would be more accurately described with giving them the term alien invaders.
