It's likely even McCain will have to pull out of Iraq (notwithstanding his current rhetoric). For two reasons: 1) events have a momentum of their own, trumping rhetoric and ideology, and 2) McCain can think and can adapt. I'm not saying he's the ideal candidate (the US political system won't allow such to become serious contenders), and perhaps my analysis is mistaken. Let us see. Bush -- even though he's a moron who sees blind stupid obstinacy as determination and firmness -- must see the futility of the US position. But like the spoilt and worthless frat boy he is, he's going to leave the mess for someone else to clean up. If Obama harbors anti-US sentiments I don't blame him: so does most of the rest of the world.
