You are right but Mediterranoids do not come from cro-magnids as I think you suggest here
Cro-magnoids and Mediterranoids (Aurignacids) are both branches derivating from a same ancestor. Now who was this common ancestor? I do not think it has been stablished yet and I do not think it will be stablished for a long time.
