Hmm... I'm not so sure about a tent as a reliable shelter. If anything, I would recommend looking into how to make a shelter from the natural resources in the environment you're in. I've never really trusted tents, unless you have no other option, of course. Maybe it's just me.

M.R., I really like Ray Mears. His television programs as well as Les Stroud's are the only two I would consider as holding legitimate educational value. It's a shame people take Bear Grylls' show as anything beyond entertainment. I suppose one day they'll find out the hard way that draining and consuming the liquid from elephant poo or climbing down waterfalls isn't the best way to go about things in the wilderness...
