We used to have the awards modifications, yes. I removed it because it looked a little biased and showy in a silly way.
You can imagine: The Founders Award, The Technician Award, The ... in the end, a senior member of the Staff would have as many awards as medals has a Sergeant from Congo, risen to Grand Marshall through a tribal coup d'etat.
A few months ago, I thought about re-installing the modification for a different purpose. Perhaps changing the name and concept of "award" to something else.
Well, I voted no but I'll go with the flow.
p.s. since you have proposed it, if members decide to have it back, it will have to be you who designs the icons of whatever "awards" (or else) are decided.
edit: oh, and make sure that they are nice ones!
