Default Re: Republican Candidate McCain Embraces Armageddon Sect

OK, call me a nitpicker, but let's quote the passage he is paraphrasing from Revelations 17:

Quote:
4.
And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5.
And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
6.
And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
Now, how exactly is that the blood of the Jewish people???
How does it have anything to do with the crusades?
The Spanish inquisition?
Of course, the holocaust, but again what does it have to do with that locus?
And the "Roman church" is the same as the apostase church in some kind of negative sense, because of the blood of the Jewish people. Hmmm...

He is basically applying the dramaturgy of the Old Testament also to the New Testament, and he speaks about things I simply cannot find in the loci referenced.

And he has an annoying tone of voice.
