Default Re: Non-native fish species - an environmental benefit?

After all, this is “funded” research, but to his credit, he was focusing on “useful” (such as edible) fish species more suited to aquaculture, and even suggested a “systematic ban of species or families of fish presenting a higher historical ecological risk”. In terms of Dr Gozlan forgetting lampreys – while the damaging effects of the predatorial ones are well established, some zoologists do not consider lampreys to be “true” fish, because of their vastly different morphology and physiology [Freshwater Fish of Victoria: Lampreys]. Other than that, I think they too, can be eaten.
