And so it is not Slavdom or Christian Orthodoxy that should assure the presence of Russia this time. Putin is too practical to care for that. If he is not caring for the preservation of ethnic Russian Slavs, why should he care for the preservation of Serbs? If he is doing for integrating Muslim ethnicities in his new Russia, why would he care for a conflict of Serbia with a little religious Muslim Albanians?
But this time there are economic and geo-political interests of importance for Russia.
