The reasoning behind it must be some sort of perspectivism, meaning that any perspective, scientific as it may be, is biased. People who believe in such things often discard truth and objectivity all in all, and hence, according to their own rationale, they are only uttering fabulous nonsense. Because it suits them well, they have decided that some fabulous nonsense should be outlawed, while other instances are thought of as harmless. There's no objective ground or rationale behind that division, however. It's just the way they prefer things to be divided, from
