Kostunica promised nothing to him. All Kostunica did was say he would oppose any measure legitimizing Kosovo's independence declaration. Clearly the EU offer does so, so Kostunica affirmed his position.
He has not abondomned them. They abondoned their campaing promises less then 5 days after being elected.
