Yes, this love of humanity can be, and is most often, an utterly hypocritical, but also at times very dangerous thing. For example, the
five generals of NATO who in these days published a manifesto in which they called for a mass murder, are also very probably motivated by their
love of humanity, which they identify with "Western values", that are under constant threat from everywhere....they love humanity so much that they are ready to kill as many humans as possible.
