Seriously, on genetic grounds, the FYROM population is the least 'Slavic' of all the Slavic speaking peoples, and the most 'ancient med'. They are clearly indigenous Balkanoids who became Slavicized linguistically. ( although I've seen a lot of 'Baltic types' there ).

It's a bit weird situation with them, really.
