The answer to this question stands and falls with a beliefe in God. As a Christian I therefor presuppose that God exists.
If we first assume that everything that can be proven by science in the end has to be bound by the laws of nature. As a theist I then have to assume that the laws of nature are created by God.
If God can not interfer in his own creation Christianity and the whole concept of God falls with it.
So my answer is that stigmata as well as other miracles are fully possible.
