It is the only solution, I agree. But it won't happen.
It's not a question of physical or military power, but "spiritual" power. You must have something to fight for. Besides yourself, that is. We will never reconquer our lands with such values as tolerance, skepticism or multiculturality. Is it possible to return to the values of old? I think not.

I've seen the idea of the Reconquista being used much as a symbol and as a hope. But I don't think that there are many parallels today.
For one thing, what Gonzalvus has said is right. And it brings the ideal of Reconquista to a whole new level: that of recovering ourselves first. That is where the ideal of the Reconquista should be directed.
The other thing to consider is that the circumstances in Europe today are not similar to what they were in Spain then.
Today we have millions of Muslims in Europe of foreign extraction, apart from other peoples. The Muslims of Al-Andalus were, for their most part, Spanish converted to Islam: the
Muwahladun.
