Well, the occupation of Poland had a bit of a negative effect also on the european polish population ... Hitler definitely didn't like the Slavs, in poland there was also a bizzarre attempt to "arianize" part of the population and enslave the remaining sub-human slavic one.
Hitler had a very bizzarre idea of racism, he would ally with italians and even palestinians but considered non-european the Slavs and hated the racial cousins of the palestinians, the jews.
Sounds like he was just using racism as an excuse to seize slavic lands.
