Re: People's reaction to your ideas
I voted for:
"They think that inmigrants and multiculturalism are the greatest blessing our civilization has ever received, and regard nationalism/identitarism or anything related to our culture as “fascist”. Therefore, they think I’m an evil racist."
Every time I try to begin a discussion with words like 'multiculturalism, race, nationalism', faces of people turn supirsed at the first moment, and then it developes even in some kind of disgusted expression, pointed towards me. Well, the same people think that liberalism is the greatest blessing given to mankind. I only have one friend who fully shares my opinion on all these issues, especially when it comes to immigration.
I more and more feel deep sadness for people in my country. Especially Bosnian muslims. They are of European orgin, but for some 10-25 years now very fond of their religion (but not in a religious way), and in some matters they lean more towards the muslim world. On the other hand they still don't want to 'lose Europe'. The sad thing here is that many of them identify the EU with Europe, advocating thereby the entry of Bosnia & Herc. into it, and defending it's 'values' like... you can guess what.
That is why the idea of separation of B&H scares me. I would be left alone with Liberal-democratic muslims who are with one foot in Turkey and the other in Austria (ah, beloved Europe, heh).
Thank God, not all Bosnian muslims are like this, or at least I know some exceptions.
