Much on the line of what I said earlier: they take science to the level of a religious belief. And, incidentally or not, to a much fundamentalist religious belief.
Contradictory as this sounds, coming from self-appointed
secular humanists. But, isn't secular humanism a contradiction in itself? If we consider the spiritual need in the nature of humans, and that the adjective secular here hides the true meaning behind this secularism, which is materialism.
