We'll surely feel it. "Our" present economic system is connected with that of the USA. Europe will certainly go through intense hardship and various countries will have to reinvent economics of self-reliance in order to survive.

On the other hand, the present system is leading all European nations toward an inevitable demise. So it's better for it to cease to exist, despite the hardships that are awaiting us. I don't believe there will be hunger in Europe because European nations have proved in the past that they are able to handle difficult situations.
