Somehow, this text confirm what I always thought, that a real Walloon (if it still exist) is closer to a real Flemish ideologically, since Namur and Luxembourg (the more-laid back cities and the Ardennes region), being the epicenters of the real Wallonian people, are more traditional, conservative and catholics, while Liège or Charleroi, are just like your average urban environment: people are more leftist, more cosmopolitan. There is no difference between youth from Liege and youth from Ghent, both are rather left-wing like the youth of any urban environment, it has nothing to do with the Flemish/Walloon.

Go to a Wallonian town in the middle of the Ardennes, and you'll find the same conservative and traditional people than in any isolated Flemish village. Go to any big Flemish city and you'll find the same leftist multiculturalists than in any Wallonian city. The problem is urbanization, and not the "evil Walloons".
