I think that Europe needs to be more centralized in order to survive and prosper, because as soon as the common danger is eliminated we'll be over each other's troats again.... as the history shows.
The idea behind the EU is good - Sovereign nations united in a common political entity.
For those who are affraid for the europeans loosing their national identities I'll say - Don't be affraid. National identity isn't that easy to loose in Europe.
Europe in the Age of Enlighnment was big open society of national countries striving to discover and conquer new lands and establish new trade routes.
Closed and egocentric small societies satisfied with their "greatness" always win temporary safety in their "cozy little home" but loose big time at the end of the day as the history shows again.
I stand for:
1. Common European Army and Navy
2. Common European Foreign Policy
3. Some Common European "Federal" Laws outlining the common moral issues.
4. Common currency.
5. Free movement of people, goods and money within the EU.
6. "Federal" European Police Service
... and LESS SOCIALISM!!! (Let's ban the socialist parties all over EU... what do you say?)
