I was positively surprised that so decent scholarship came from post-war Communist Poland.

Please read the 1962 paper. It defenses the typological race concept (Nordic, Alpine etc. races exist) vs. the populationist race concept (only major races Europid, Mongoloid, Negroid, Australoid exist)
