Russians - Have been friends with a few and they were very, very good people. A couple I have come across seemed to be stuck up though and looked far more mediterranean than they would ever admit.
Poles - Have crossed paths with a few and the impression I got was that they want to distance themselves from southern Slavs. They seem to consider themselves as proper Slavs and Balkan people as something completely different. And again, some Poles I've met looked even more mediterranean than me.
Ukranians - Love them because they accept who they are and I have never come across one who was rude towards me.
Czechs - There doesn't seem to be a Slavic awareness with the ones I met. They look like halfway Germans and their women are beautiful.
Slovaks - Never come across one before but I'm asuming they are like Czechs, just less German looking.
Slovenes - Like Poles. They think they are northern Europeans and don't want to be seen as being related to southern Slavs.
Bulgarians - I have never met one in real life (that I can recall) but EVERY SINGLE one I have come across on the Internet seems to be on a mission to convince the world that Macedonians are Bulgarians. They seem to be exactly like the Greeks and sometimes join forces until they start arguing about how the Macedonian land should be split between them.

I would like to get along with them but they make it impossible.
Croats - Extremely tall people. I have Croat friends (and a Croat g/f once) and they are like brothers to me. Some seem to be like Poles and Slovenes though and consider themselves as non-Balkan people but most are happy with what they are.
Serbs - Very similar to Croats; also extremely tall and I don't really see much difference (had two Serb g/f's in the past). Consider them as brothers too. However, a few are popping up on the Internet lately joining Greeks and Bulgarians in their quest to deny our identity. I just assume they are pimple faced teenagers born in the 90's who view anything before their birth as ancient history.
In general, I would love to get along with all fellow Slavic people but some it seems don't actually want to get along with me for being a southern Slav or for identifying myself as something they don't agree with. Shame, because I feel that we Slavic people have more in common than just language.
