Mynydd's proposal is interesting though "Aurignacid" embraces all atlanto-Med, Pontids, Gracil-Meds and nordids; I think ascribing atlanto-Med and pontids only to "aurignacids" that makes think that they are aurignacid forms that remained unchanged since the UP times.
On the other side I think there is much confusion with the Atlantid term; I think this term was coined for the first time in 1961 by a polish anthropologist to designate a NW nordic-AM estabilized blend with the AM element being predominant but it was Lundman and that filthy amateur called McCoulogh (or what ever his ortograph is) who created the confusion with their "palaeo-atlantid" term which is in fact a dark cro-magnonoid variant........isn't it?
