I don't know why they should be labeled as Europeans. Race and religion cannot be but exclusive factors: a European people is racially within certain range and is traditionally Christian, but these things cannot make a people European by theirselves. If we would apply these criteria for every group living outside Europe, we'd bump to the obvious question: why aren't Americans or Australians European?
