They are both Gods - this is important. Some scholars used to tie Kernius to PIE root for cherry, but this is Hunting god and I think this is more close to the AX. But Cherries has the blood color and who nows the idea of ancient Celtic-Baltis community now?

Keras in lithuanian means the growing bush top part, the ax is kirvis, but the most important is 'kr' I suppose.
