I remember reading in a Chomsky book how messed up America is. America has the worst education and medical services in the world compared to other highly economically developed countries and msot of it's money is wasted on the military industrial complex or wasted away on pointless programs. Most Americans want to change this and would prefer to have education, economic and health care systems like those in western europe.. But given how army based and corrupt their politicians are this will never happen and if it did America would go bankrupt. He also goes on to say America is not a democracy it is a 1 party system under the guise of a two-party system and that no matter who you vote for your your vote is wasted because you get the same individual and if you vote for someone who is an idealist or at least has morals and sticks to hia word hw will not accomplish a thing as he will be on the fringe of the system.
