One of the key reasons Americans will never unite to transform their republic is the media and political class is filled with false populists. If you watch US news for a while you notice how many people claim to be "standing up for the little guy" or "giving it to you straight"; in fact they do the opposite.

Sadly there are many angry Americans who will never find a useful outlet for their rage because they continue to listen to media commentators who deliberately never get to the heart of the problem. They will blame "Hollywood Liberals" or "Big Business" but never give any practical advice to change the political system. It is a bit like those horror movies in which one of the people who seems to be trying to escape the island with everyone else turns out to be the killer who has kept everyone right where he wants them.
