Re: Political Orientation
I describe myself as a Modern Nationalist.
Nationalist because my primary duty and loyalty is to France, and my first and foremost concern is her independence, her integrity, her greatness, her interests.
Modern because I am pragmatic and opposed to dogmatism. To me only the result matters and the end justifies the means; and I don't feel like one single ideology will help France to reach the objectives mentioned above. Which explains why my political views are a mix of many things, fascism and socialism, anti-liberalism, keynesianism, dirigism, protectionnism and pro-Europeanism, populism and elitism, revolutionalism and conservatism, republicanism and authoritarianism, tradition and modernism, secularism and pro-Christianism, against both democracy and totalitarianism, ...
Modern also because, though I respect old French nationalist theories, Monarchism, the Catholic religion, I don't think that they are much adapted to the 2007 world.
I will elaborate later.
