Default Re: How do you see your Nation, ideally ?

As an Hispanist I consider the whole Iberian peninsula as a common cultural and ethnic reality. Sadly divided in several occasions because different factors as well as parties implied (firstly a Mohamedian invasion and most recently the nefast policy of the Count-Duke of Olivares). But what are political delimitations after all? The unity of the Iberian peoples is much deeper than that, and indeed, History teach us that these frontiers (even during the times in which there were more) did not prevent our ancestors to feel one and the same. Not strangely, there are enough kings, writers and politicians of every of the old Hispanic kingdoms who confirm what I'm saying.

It means that my Nation (which not necessarily might coincide with the one of other fellows) accompases the modern States of Spain, Portugal, Andorra and Gibraltar, plus the little territories of Nafarroa Beherea and Roselló (inaccurately named "Northern Catalonia"), both currently under the administration of France. Also, for fairness' sake, I would have no problems to rennounce to the Val d'Aran, which could be given independence and let the right to decide whether they want to join current France or await for a different political situation more favourable to Occitan interests.

The map may look something like that (plus Andorra and minus the Val d'Aran):
