I would like to see a united Ireland with the North joining the Republic but I would not want it to happen unless it was something genuinely wanted by the people of Ireland. In other words no bullying, no threats, no secret selling out of the hardliners of any side, no shotgun marriage, no demand that anyone in Ireland abandon their Catholic or Protestant traditions to embrace a secular mushy non-nationalism. I think it is possible but it won't be easy.
