Maybe. But I can say what made me pro-Macedonian. It was a book of stories by a Macedonian author which was read by me many years ago. Unfortunately I can’t remember his name but that his book was very impressive. Sort of Macedonian thriller. Judging by it Serbs and Bulgarians (not sure about Serbs but Bulgarian soldiers definitely acted there, I remember them more clearly) tried to force Macedonians to regard themselves as Serbs or Bulgarians.

But the Macedonians chose to be a separate people and after WWII created their own literary language (the youngest Slavic language, by the way), a separate republic in Yugoslavia and an independent state now. What tricksters! I respect them for it.
